In 2015, the United Nations established 17 goals to make the world a better place for all by 2030. And we too have asked ourselves: what can we do to contribute to this effort?
Together with the members of Growers United, we have agreed to roll out a fully circular, fair and healthy production process. To bring this goal to fruition, we and our nurseries have set some short-term goals. And in order to be able to monitor these goals, we are tracking the specific scores, which we can compare by using the standardised measurement and calculation method of the Horti Footprint. We’re not waiting for them to make it mandatory but are already reaping the ‘fruits’ of our efforts. Later in this newsletter, we’ll hear our colleague Jelle tell us what insights the calculation method has already given us so far.
In the coming years, we and our supply chain partners want to make the footprint of the entire supply chain more sustainable. Working together on a healthy and green future. Will you join us?
